2026 Fall FUN After-School Program
Community Application
The Recreation & Parks Association of Nunavut (RPAN) is pleased to offer a new program called the Fall FUN After-School Program. The Fall FUN After-School Program is a community-based recreation initiative designed to provide safe, engaging, and inclusive programming for children 5-12 years old during the critical after-school hours. The program supports local recreation capacity by employing and mentoring Youth Leaders while offering children opportunities to participate in physical activity, creative programming, leadership development, and social interaction.
The Fall FUN After-School Program is a great opportunity to keep the Summer Day Camp Youth Leaders employed during the school year while offering great programs to children in the community.
The Fall FUN After-School Program is an opportunity for communities/recreation department to offer additional programming. The program can start in September and end in early December before the Winter Youth Program begins in January.
Led by Youth Leaders with the support of the Community's Recreation department, the Fall FUN After-School program provides training and employment opportunities for youth 15-25 years of age. Youth leaders in turn run an 11 – 13 week after school program and a finale celebration event in December.
NU NOVES also provides resources, wages and snack funding for the participating communities and their participants to enhance the experience and FUN!
